DeSoto Regional Foundation

The DeSoto Regional Health System Foundation, a non-profit organization under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service, raises funds to help sustain the quality of care required to serve our rural community. Donations are used for equipment purchases, facility renovations or additions and/or other hospital capital improvements. Donations are not used for hospital daily operational costs.

Recent projects made possible by donor support include:

• The Billy Ray Bedsole Memorial Cancer Center where local cancer patients receive the quality care they need in the healing environment they deserve.
• A new digital 3D mammography machine leading to earlier detection and treatment of breast cancer for DeSoto Regional Health System patients.
• The new DeSoto Regional Wellness Center houses Fitness First including a fully equipped work out area and   walking track and Therapy Services which offers outpatient therapy.
• New patient beds and the renovation of patient rooms.

The Foundation’s independence from its beneficiary, the hospital, affirms that contributions are used in accordance with donor wishes and the Foundation's mission statement.
