Contributions may be made to the DeSoto Regional Health System Foundation at any time. Unless specified by the donor, these gifts are usually unrestricted and used in accordance with the mission statement of the foundation.

 

These gifts are made in memory or honor of a family member, colleague or friend. A letter recognizing the gift is sent to the honoree or family of the person memorialized.

 

You can support health care in our community for generations to come by leaving a legacy to the DeSoto Regional Health System Foundation. Estate assets may be donated through a will, trust or other donor directive. These gifts are usually planned in advance using the assistance of a professional. Significant tax benefits may be available to the donor or their family.

 

Donors of major gifts can choose to pay out their gift over a specified time period. These gifts are often made in support of a particular capital project or equipment purchase.

 

DRHS Outpatient Cancer Center Capital Campaign

In early 2008, DeSoto Regional Health System Foundation launched a capital campaign to raise funds for the enlargement and renovation of the Outpatient Cancer Center. The Center was opened to patients in October 2008 and dedicated as the Billy Ray Bedsole Memorial Cancer Center in January of 2009. Sponsorships are still available. The Magnolia Ball serves each year as the major fundraiser for the Foundation. As a rural health care provider, the funds raised by the gala are extremely important in our efforts to provide necessary services for our patients. Proceeds from the event are used to assist DeSoto Regional Health System in providing quality health care for the communities we serve through the funding of much needed capital improvements and projects.
